Jordan Zimmermann looked sharp in his first start with the Detroit Tigers

Zimmerman was able to hold the Yankees to just two hits over seven innings. He only struck out three batters, which was a bit concerning, but it was an extremely good start for Zimmerman against a tough opponent.

Zimmermann was able to get the win on Friday in his debut. He exceeded most fantasy owners expectations in a tough matchup with the Yankees. Zimmermann will look to build on his success in his next start against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
