Marco Estrada made his season debut Sunday versus the Red Sox, stopping a four-game losing streak with seven shutout innings with only seven hits and a walk. Estrada struck out eight.
Fantasy Impact:
Estrada was showcasing one of baseball's best sliders Sunday, getting most of his eight strikeouts on it. He doesn't throw especially hard, but has command of three strong pitches and outings like Sunday's were why he retains fantasy relevance while pitching in the AL East.
