Drew Stubbs hits three-run bomb in Braves loss

by Kyle Borgognoni | Sun, Apr 10th 6:50pm EDT

Stubbs went 1-for-4 with a three-run HR and a walk in the Braves' 12-7 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Stubbs' blast came off of Adam Wainwright to dead centerfield to tie the score at four in the fourth inning. Stubbs has always had an intriguing blend of power, speed, and defense, although he also showcased his major downfall on Sunday afternoon with three strikeouts. With Ender Inciarte going to the DL, the Braves called up rookie Mallex Smith, who figures to be the long-term solution in the outfield. Expect Stubbs to continue to see playing time platooning in center especially against lefties. He is a DFS dart throw at best right now.
