2B Jason Kipnis went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season as the Indians defeated the Rays 4-1 on Wednesday.

Having only hit six and nine home runs over the last two years, it is encouraging to see Jason Kipnis go deep in only the Indians' sixth game of the season. The 29-year-old is hitting second in the lineup and batting .273 (4-for-22). With Michael Brantley due back within a couple of weeks, Jason Kipnis could be shifted back to the leadoff spot where he was so productive last season, hitting .311 (compared to .237 from the number two spot).
