Decent start to 2016 season for Nelson Cruz

It has been an up and down start to the 2016 season for Nelson Cruz, but he does have three doubles and two home runs for the Mariners and has four walks and only four strikeouts. He does only have a .229 batting average in 35 at-bats after back-to-back hitless nights.
Fantasy Impact:
Fantasy owners looked to add Cruz for his power, and his .486 slugging percentage is more than acceptable, but he was also a .302 hitter in 2015, so fantasy owners were looking for a more complete performance than this from Cruz. The high batting average for Cruz in 2015 could be an outlier, though, as he batted no better than .271 in any of the previous four seasons. He is a top-10 OF with his power alone and can be trusted for 35-40 home runs.
