David Wright hits first home run of the season

by Eric Bentsen | Mon, Apr 18th 10:07pm EDT

David Wright went 2-for-5 with two home runs, including his first of the season. He now has 22 career home runs at Citizens Bank Park which is the most of any visiting player. For some odd reason, he somehow always plays very well on the road against the Phillies. According to a tweet sent out from Adam Rubin, in the past four seasons (2013-16), David Wright has five opposite field homers. Three of them have come in Philly. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Fantasy Impact:

Today was a great day for David and fantasy owners who have David on their team for obvious reasons. He showed some great pop in the game and looked great in the field, as well. Today's game could be a great sign for fantasy owners out there. Now,he probably will not hit 30 home runs like he did earlier in his career, but he can potentially put up some quality numbers if his back can hold up. Keep him in the lineup right now especially for the remainder of the three game series in Philly.
