Zack Grienke pitches poorly but gets win

by Tony Pontecorvo | Tue, Apr 26th 2:31am EDT

Aided by a nine-run explosion from the offense in the sixth inning, Zack Grienke got his second win of the season on Monday night despite giving up seven earned runs. Although he didn't walk anyone, Grienke only struck out two and allowed 11 hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Fantasy Impact:

After two solid starts away from Chase Field, Grienke had his third poor outing at his new home in three tries this season. He's now given up 18 runs at home in 16 2/3 innings. Anything that happens in April must be taken with the "small sample size" grain of salt, but this is not the start that fantasy owners were hoping for from Greinke. He may have a longer adjustment period to his new home than his fantasy owners would like.
