Addison Reed with a rare save last night in Mets' 5-2 win over Reds

by Nick Ritrivi | Thu, Apr 28th 9:13am EDT

Mets' setup man, Addison Reed, picked up his first save of the season pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning against the Reds last night. Jeurys Familia had worked the previous three games and Terry Collins simply gave Familia a night off.

Fantasy Impact:

Reed has looked very impressive so far this season as the Mets' eighth inning guy. As he did last night, he will occasionally spell Familia in the ninth inning. In leagues that reward holds, Reed is valuable pitching on the Mets. In other formats he is nothing more then a Familia handcuff.
