Alex Cobb resumes throwing off mound

Alex Cobb threw 25 pitches from a mound this week. He didn't experience any issues when doing so. He's recovering from Tommy John surgery. (Tampa Bay Tribune)
Fantasy Impact:
Cobb has a lot of steps ahead in his recovery from major surgery, but if all continues to go well he could be back with the Rays closer to the All-Star break. The Rays' rotation is off to a nice start, and Cobb could certainly become fantasy relevant again, potentially as soon as this season. However, it's good to temper expectations for SPs in their first year back from TJ surgery.
