Ross Stripling allowed seven hits, five earned runs, walked two, and struck out six in 4 2/3 innings on Saturday night against the San Diego Padres. 53-of-85 pitches were thrown for strikes.
Fantasy Impact:
The six strikeouts were nice, as it marked a season-high, but Stripling is not a strikeout pitcher. Plus, tonight's game was against the Padres, a team that has struck out the fifth-most against right-handed pitching. On the season, Stripling has a 4.33 ERA and 1.41 WHIP with 22 strikeouts in 27 innings pitched.
