Cesar Hernandez goes 1-for-4 in loss to Cardinals

by Kerry Kauffman | Thu, May 5th 12:31am EDT

The Phillies fell to 16-12 on the season following a 5-4 loss to the Cardinals on Wednesday. Cesar Hernandez is one of several Phillies who are struggling at the plate and went 1-for-4 on Wednesday. He's 2-for-17 over the last six games, seeing his batting average dip from .292 to .258.

Fantasy Impact:

Hernandez wasn't expected to a top-tier second baseman, but, after a very good spring, he's been a bit of a disappointment. He's not getting on base at a high rate and his base stealing percentage is poor. Until Hernandez picks up the pace, owners should look elsewhere for help at second base.
