Cory Rasmus will undergo core surgery for the second time in as many seasons.

Rasmus has struggled mightily with injuries over the last two seasons, also missing time this year with a groin ailment. He wasn't especially effective when he was able to pitch this year. It's to be determined when he'll return for the Angels.
