Jeff Francoeur goes hitless on Wednesday

Jeff Francoeur got the start in left field in Wednesday's loss to the Red Sox. He went 0-for-4 and was struck out once. Atlanta will look to escape Boston on Thursday with a win to finish off the series.

Fantasy Impact

Frenchy is batting .289 with 4 RBI so far this season. His fantasy value is low, mostly because of his playing time. However, he's been on a hot streak over the past weak. Francoeur is a great pick up in daily when the Braves are facing a lefty on the mound.

Jeff Francoeur goes 1-for-4 in Braves loss

Francoeur went 1-for-4 with a single in the Braves' 2-1 loss to the Nationals on Tuesday night.

Fantasy Impact

"Frenchy" is simply a veteran placeholder on this Braves roster. He had a rally killing double play in the eighth when the Braves had a chance to take the lead as he left four men on base in the game. He leads all OFs since 2005 in outfield assists, a statistic that does us no good for fantasy purposes.

Jeff Francoeur signs minor league deal with Braves

Jeff Francoeur was invited to Braves spring training to try and make the big league club on a minor league contract.

Fantasy Impact

There is no fantasy significance here. Unless you have no outfielders on your roster there is no reason for you to pick him up or draft him.

Jeff Francoeur goes 0-for-4 in finale

The Phillies avoided a 100-loss season with a 7-2 win over the Marlins on Sunday. Veteran Jeff Francoeur, who had a solid season, went 0-for-4 with a strikeout. He finished the season with a .258 batting average and .433 slugging percentage.

Fantasy Impact

Francoeur wants to return to the Phillies next season and the team appears to want him back. He provides veteran leadership and still can produce with the bat. Francoeur had 16 doubles, 13 home runs and 45 RBI in 324 at-bats. Expect Francoeur to have a similar role next season.

Francoeur sparks Phillies offense

Jeff Francoeur went 2-for-5 with a homer, double, two runs scored, three RBI, and one strikeout.

Fantasy Impact

Francoeur has been a rare bright spot in the Phillies offense. Although the Phillies have been averaging 5.5 runs a game since June 21st, Francoeur has been one of few consistent contributors. Francoeur will be more valuable to fantasy owners in daily leagues as a spot start because he doesn't get consistent playing time. But, when he does, at least recently, he's making the most of it.
