Melky Cabrera and the White Sox struggled to score runs on Thursday. They went scoreless until the ninth inning. Cabrera did not help matters by leaving three men on base; none in scoring position. Cabrera went 1-for-4 with a strikeout.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera is not a guy who will light up the scoreboard every night. However, he can have some value when on a hot streak or playing against a weak pitcher. Cabrera has the most value in daily fantasy leagues when you are going to stack the White Sox. His position in the lineup gives him opportunities to score runs when he reaches base.

Melky Cabrera has been very successful over the last 10 games, but that came to an end Tuesday night. The White Sox struggled to get hits and Cabrera was one of them. He went 0-for-4 at the plate as the White Sox lose to the Indians.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera is serviceable, but not elite. Too often he disappears in games. He is a wily veteran who rarely has large hitting slumps, but is only a .285 career hitter. Cabrera can be used as a plug-and-play option during hot streaks or solid pitching matchups. He can also make for a daily fantasy stacking option when the White Sox face certain pitchers.

Melky Cabrera helped the White Sox reach .500 in the win-loss column. Cabrera went 1-for-5 with two runs scored to help the White Sox beat Oakland on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera had a productive weekend. He recorded five hits and five runs over the three day span. Cabrera has been streaky, but it seems that the White Sox are finally getting some timely hitting. Look to use Cabrera if the match-ups are good. He can make for a decent stack in daily lineups because he is typically the number three hitter.

Melky Cabrera has had a rough few days at the plate, but he turned that around on Wednesday. Cabrera went 1-for-2 with a RBI and a walk.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera was on a little hitting slump. He had not recorded a hit over his previous three games. He did not take advantage of a solid matchup on Tuesday, but turned things around a day later. Cabrera is not elite, but he can consistently help in both standard and daily leagues.

Melky Cabrera has had a tough two games. He went 0-for-4 with a walk on Monday against the Brewers. He was not able to manufacture any runs and left six men on base.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera has done nothing over the last two games. Combined he is 0-for-9 with one walk, no RBI, and no runs scored. His batting average dropped to .254. Note that Cabrera is a veteran and it is unlikely he will go into a major slump. Tuesday's match-up against Mike Fiers is a good one for any White Sox hitter. Fiers has an ERA of 5.46 and only one quality start all season. Cabrera could turn it around as quickly as Tuesday night.

Melky Cabrera went 0-for-5 on Sunday. Despite the outfielder's struggles, the White Sox still beat the Reds. Cabrera did not record any strikeouts and made good contact with the ball, but just could not get a hit. He left seven runners stranded on base.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera has been pretty consistent thus far this season. He is close to his career numbers, except in the slugging category. Cabrera should end up right around his career averages by seasons end. He is currently hitting .264 with a .314 OBP. Cabrera's slugging numbers should improve as the season continues. Cabrera is not elite, but can make for a decent play when the match-ups are right.

Melky Cabrera did not record a hit on Tuesday, but he did reach base on two walks. One of those walks turned into a run when Avisail Garcia grounded into a fielder's choice in the third inning.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera has been solid at the plate. He has reached base in nine of his last ten games. He is currently batting .281 with a .640 OPS. Look for Cabrera to increase his slugging percentage closer to his career average of .413 by season's end. Look to use Cabrera in daily fantasy leagues too; his price tag is not outrageous compared to his production.

Melky Cabrera had a decent day at the plate on Thursday. However, it was not enough as the White Sox fall to the Twins. Cabrera went 2-for-5 with an RBI.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera has been hot and cold this season. He could make for a lower priced option in daily fantasy leagues if the match-up is right. He has a decent amount of multiple hit games and he hits before Jose Abreu who has 15 RBI and five HRs on the season. The White Sox have struggled as a team at the plate; look for them to heat up as the weather warms up in May.

Melky Cabrera only had one hit on Monday night vs the Tribe, but that one hit secured a 4-3 walk off victory for the White Sox.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera's only hit of the game, was a walk off single in the bottom of the ninth, to secure a 4-3 Victory for the White Sox. Continue to be patient with Cabrera, and the White Sox offense. It's only a matter of time, before they pay big dividends.

Melky Cabera, hitting out of the two hole went 4-for-5 with 2 runs and 2 RBI, setting the table for the White Sox offense , which exploded for 12 runs vs the Tigers.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera had his first big day for his new club, going 4-for-5, with 2 runs and 2 RBI. Off to a slow start, it was nice to see Cabrera finally have a big day, and set the table for the White Sox offense. Keep Cabrera in your lineup in all formats

Melky Cabrera went 1-for-4 vs the Royals on Thursday afternoon, as the White Sox were swept in Kansas City. Cabrera has two hits, in his first 12 at bats.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera is off to a slow start with his new team, going 2-for-12 out the gate. On deck, is a series with the pitching challenged Minnesota Twins, so start Cabrera with confidence in all formats.

Fantasy Impact: Melky Cabrera would presumably slot into the two-hole for the Seattle Mariners. Cabrera is an all-around fantasy contributor, with a strong ability to make contact and hit for average, mixed with slightly above-average power. A full repeat of his 2014 batting line is well within reach. A potential move from The Roger Centre to Safeco Field could worry some, however, Melky did not display any split between home and away performance in 2014 (.807 OPS at home - .810 OPS on the road). With the recent addition of free-agent Nelson Cruz, along with last year's acquisitions, Austin Jackson and Robinson Cano, the top of the Mariner's lineup would be one of the best in the American League.
