Ryan Vogelsong came on in mop up duty for Madison Bumgarner and yielded four earned runs in 3.2 IP.
Fantasy Impact: Ouch. This is after Vogelsong gave up seven in 4.2 innings pitched in his first start of the season. Vogelsong, 37, may be running out of gas. There is no reason to own him in any format.

Ryan Vogelsong gave up seven earned runs on six hits and four walks, chipping in five strikeouts in 4.2 innings pitched Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact: Vogelsong was getting knocked around almost from the word go. Three of the runs came on a Jeremy Lamb home run that knocked Vogelsong out of the fifth. He isn't even a streaming option in NL-only leagues for the time being.

Ryan Vogelsong is slotted in as the starter for game two of the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Vogelsong finished last season with eight wins and 13 losses. (Source: SF Giants on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Despite the 8-13 record from the 2014 season, starting Vogelsong tonight is a wise move. Vogelsong is a sound pitcher who had a 3.90 ERA and WHIP of 1.28 in 2014. Expect a lower ERA and slightly lower WHIP in 2015. If Vogelsong is available in your league, he would make a good addition for tonight.

Ryan Vogelsong was given four and two thirds innings in his fourth spring training start, and only allowed two hits, two walks, and struck out four. He took a hard shot off his shin in the first inning, but managed to shake it off and continue playing.
Fantasy Impact: Vogelsong had looked extremely shaky in his first three starts, coming into this game with a 9.39 earned run average. He had a below average season last year, finishing with a 4.00 earned run average and an 8-13 record, so he should not be high on anybody's draft sheet.

"Vogey" will return to the Giants on a one-year, $4 million deal. (Source: ESPN)
Fantasy Impact: Ryan Vogelsong had multiple suitors this offseason, as his name was tied to the Twins, Rockies and Astros before he decided to return to the City by the Bay. Vogelsong had a miserable 2013 campaign, but bounced back slightly to the tune of a 4.00 and a 1.29 WHIP in 2014. His 7.36 K/9 was good for 19th in the NL among starters. He'll be 38 before the 2015 campaign is over & is likely not worth a roster slot on draft day. In 16 home starts last season, he had a 3.06 ERA & a 1.07 WHIP while giving up only two home runs. If he keeps this up, Vogelsong at home is a viable 2015 streaming option, especially in deeper or NL-only leagues.

Fantasy Impact: The Rockies are in need of rotation help and according to Jon Morosi, they want a right handed starter. Vogelsong went 8-13 with a 4.00 ERA in 184.2 innings last season for the San Francisco Giants. He is nothing more than an innings eater and making a move to Coors Field will more than likely not bode well for him. Do not draft Vogelsong in any drafts, he is a plug-and-play based on match-ups in daily leagues at this stage in his career.

Fantasy Impact: Since his return from his stint in Japan, Vogelsong has been up-and-down for the Giants. He lit the world on fire with a 2.71 ERA in 2011 and 3.37 in 2012, but since then he has had an ERA over 4.00. "Vogey" plays in the NL West, which slightly inflated his numbers. In a resurgent AL Central and in his age 38 season, Vogelsong offers little value.
