Tanner Scheppers placed on the 15-day disabled list

Tanner Scheppers has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with left knee inflammation.

Fantasy Impact

Scheppers has really struggled of late and perhaps this is a reason why. Ranger sources said he thought he could "grind through it" but after failing to retire a batter and blowing a three run lead in yesterday's loss to the Giants, it's obvious that something more had to be done.

Tanner Scheppers picks up the win despite himself

It was another rough outing for Rangers set-up man Tanner Scheppers as he allowed four runs on three hits in just one inning of work. Despite his ineffectiveness, he was the pitcher of record when the Rangers broke an 8-8 tie to defeat Colorado 10-8 Wednesday

Fantasy Impact

Scheppers has been awful lately and today's performance will only increase the anxiety level of manager Jeff Bannister. With an ERA now at 5.63, don't be shocked if he gets sent down to Triple-A to work out his issues.
