Fantasy Impact:

Bargnani had potential to be a big part of the Knicks puzzle this year, but an injury that was supposed to only limit him for a couple games has held him out for the first month of the season. His past three seasons have been injury riddled, but the former first pick does average nearly 18 points per 36 minutes over his career, a welcome boost to a 24th ranked offense for the Knicks. The issue, as stated before, is that Bargnani is injury prone; he has only played in 44% of his teams' games since the beginning of the 2011-2012 season and the Knicks need more reliability than that. The Knicks are only averaging 5.8 points per game from their front court options this year, and that number is even bolstered by Amar'e Stoudemire's 11.7 points per game in only 23.1 minutes per game. The Knicks need consistent scoring from the front court and will look to Bargnani when healthy; he will be available on waiver wires and look to add him for his potential scoring abilities.
