Fantasy Impact:

Kyrie Irving acknowledged that there was a "pretty glaring” need to upgrade the Nets roster and so its no surprise the front office has begun kicking the tires on acquiring a potential third-star in Bradley Beal. In order to bring an Irving - Durant - Beal lineup to fruition, the Nets will have to shed significant cap space from some of their core players to fit the $63.2M that Beal is owed over the next two seasons (he has a player option in 2022-2023). Beal stated in the past that he would like to retire with the Wizards but the opportunity to join a potential contender, like the Nets, may be enough to change his mind. Beal is a bonafide star and despite being snubbed as an all-star this season, he averaged a career-high 30.5 points, along with 6.1 assists, and 4.2 rebounds across 57 games.
