Fred VanVleet expresses trust in the NBA despite concerns regarding Florida

Fred VanVleet expressed his views regarding the league restart, stating that he puts his trust in the organization and that he did not think that they would put players in extreme risk. (Josh Lewenberg on Twitter)

With so many unknown variables, VanVleet trusts the decisions made by his organization and the league. He states that “[he] [is] trying to be optimistic about it,” and that “it’s not the most ideal situation but [that’s] the kind of time we’re in.” The Raptor’s guard also expressed his thoughts on his fellow peers’ decisions to opt-out of the NBA restart, stating that he respects the players that decided to opt-out, emphasizing that it is a personal choice for everybody. Regarding his thoughts on the eight’ seeding games’, he noted that even though the team did not get the best luck of the draw, he liked the team’s chances. VanVleet has played 48 games this season and averaged 17.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. The young guard has become a sensation for the Raptors, proving his value night-in and night-out, he remains a must-start in all formats at this time.
