Brooklyn Nets G Spencer Dinwiddie tells The Athletic that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is unsure on his playing status ahead of the 2019-20 NBA restart in Orlando. (Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Dinwiddie told The Athletic, “given that I have experienced symptoms, including fever and chest tightness, it is unclear on whether or not I’ll be able to participate in Orlando.” He’ll now self-quarantine and re-evaluate in 14 days, but there’s serious doubt about him playing again this season. Dinwiddie was having a fantastic season prior to the shutdown, averaging a career high 20.6 points and 6.8 assists per game. The Nets are already down Wilson Chandler, and now potentially Dinwiddie. They picked up Justin Anderson as a replacement for Chandler, and could pick up another player if Dinwiddie officially opts out. Brooklyn currently sits in the 7-seed in the Eastern Conference and has a good shot at making the playoffs. Caris LeVert is going to have his hands full trying to carry the team through the playoffs in the “bubble” at Disney World.
