Hassan Whiteside wants to work on his free throw shooting in the offseason

by Jonathan Ebanks | Wed, May 20th 2:13pm EDT

Last week, Hassan Whiteside mentioned he wanted to "really work on free throws a lot more" when he was asked about his offseason point of emphasis. (Miami Herald)

Fantasy Impact:

With more teams shamelessly implementing the Hack-A-Shaq as a gameplan tactic, Whiteside understandably wouldn't want to be the person to put the Heat in a bind next season because of his poor free throw shooting. His 62.8 percent shooting from the floor was good for fifth-best in the NBA, but his 50 percent free throw shooting was the 11th worst figure among players who played at least 41 games. He did manage to finish fourth in the Most Improved Player of the Year voting despite not playing much the first couple of months.
