David West will join the Spurs on a veteran minimum salary in his quest for a championship ring. He could have stayed in Indiana and would have received $12 million, but declined his player option and will instead make $1.4 million. (David Aldridge on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Spurs were already a scary team, but they are building in an impressive way for both the present and the future. West will join a potent lineup and will add depth at the forward position. It's difficult to know how many minutes he'll see with LaMarcus Aldridge, Tim Duncan and Boris Diaw being there, but he's definitely skilled enough to contribute in that offense.
