Marcus Thornton and Andrew Nicholson have been traded to the Nets on Wednesday in exchange for Bojan Bogdanovic and Chris McCullough. The Nets will also receive a 2017 first-round pick. Thornton joins a team with plenty of guards including Jeremy Lin, Joe Harris, Sean Kilpatrick and Caris Levert.

Fantasy Impact

Thornton and Nicholson aren't worth owning especially, Thornton in a crowded backcourt. This trade bodes well for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Caris Levert the most. Don't be surprised if the Nets even cut Thornton loose to join a contender.

Marcus Thornton scored 18 points Thursday night and it marked a season-high scoring mark for Thornton since he joined the Wizards earlier this month.

Thornton saw a minutes increase when Markieff Morris was thrown out of the game for a flagrant two, foul. Thornton is part of a deep small forward lineup the Wizards have and will need to continue to produce to see time.

This was a bit of a breakout for Thornton as he had only scored a total of two points in the last two games. He has the ability to score in bunches, but often times he doesn't get enough shots to do so. He is certainly a better player in real life than he is for fantasy.

Thornton has put up decent numbers over the last few weeks, but his performances are unpredictable. Owners should expect Thornton to continue as a hit-or-miss option.

There are many key injuries right for the Rockets, but Thornton hasn't earned a starting role. Owners shouldn't expect anything huge from Thornton unless more injuries occur.
