Tony Wroten struggles to find his shot versus Grizzlies

The Philadelphia 76ers shot a decent 47 percent from the floor, yet dropped to 1-29 following a 104-90 loss to the Grizzlies. Tony Wroten struggled in a 29 minute run as a starter, hitting just 2-of-9 from the floor and 3-of-8 from the free throw line. Wroten is averaging 8.6 points per game.

Fantasy Impact

After leading the 76ers in scoring last season at 16.9 points per game before going down with injury, he's struggled in all phases. Wroten will likely need time to get his shooting touch back and should be a viable scoring option when that happens. Until then, owners would be wise to pass on Wroten.

Tony Wroten scores 12 in start

Tony Wroten is easing his way back following a long recovery from injury. He got a start in the 76ers 115-96 loss to the Bulls on Monday. While he hit only 4-of-11 from the floor, he was 2-of-4 from three-point range and finished with 12 points. Wroten added three rebounds and a steal in 18 minutes.

Fantasy Impact

Wroten's scoring output on Monday was his highest this season. He is just 9-for-28 from the floor and 7-for-14 from the free throw line, clearly showing some rust. Wroten's playing time and production should increase as he continues to recover. When that happens, he'll be a solid fantasy producer on the offensive end.

Tony Wroten to sit out Friday's game

Tony Wroten is set to receive some rest on Friday night after completing his third game of the season. He scored nine points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and two turnovers. He shot 3-of-5 from the floor and 3-of-6 at the free throw line in 17 minutes of work.

Fantasy Impact

Wroten missed the first half of the season win an injury so expect the 76ers to take it easy on him in the near future. Wroten can score the ball well and Philadelphia is in dire need of offense, so expect Wroten to get his fair share of looks once he is fully healthy.

Tony Wroten set to return Saturday versus Nuggets

The Philadelphia 76ers have just one win this season, but will be getting considerable help with the return of Tony Wroten on Saturday. Wroten was the 76ers leading scorer last season at 16.9 points per game before undergoing ACL surgery in February. With Wroten returning, the 76ers waived Phil Pressey, who was averaging 3.9 points and 3.3 assists per game.

Fantasy Impact

Wroten should get significant playing time, meaning a reduction in playing time for T.J. McConnell or Isaiah Canaan. The most likely scenario is seeing Canaan more at the two-guard probably diminishing minutes for Nik Stauskas.

Tony Wroten not close to returning to action

The Philadelphia 76ers have been solid so far this pre season but have some injury issues which will affect the opening day roster. One key player who will not be ready is Tony Wroten, who is recovering from an ACL injury. Wroten, according to coach Brett Brown, likely wont be back until December.

Fantasy Impact

Wroten averaged 16.9 points and 5.2 assists in 30 games last season for the 76ers. With Wroten and Kendall Marshall out, expect Isaiah Canaan to see additional minutes. Canaan could be a solid fantasy option at the point early in the season.
