Smith led receivers (with more than 35 receptions) at Rec/TD last year, scoring once every 4.45 catches... he can't keep up that pace in San Fran.

- Jon Collins, Fantasy Sports LR

Talented downfield threat but upside limited by run-first offense as the Niners ranked 29th in pass attempts last season.

- Sablich Brothers, The NY Times

Amendola finished out last year on a high note, but it's hard to know exactly how he'll be used in the Patriots' offense this year.

- Chet Gresham, WalterFootball

Anquan Boldin has the nice floor this season, but Smith is the one with the risky upside. This offense is going to be fighting an uphill battle this year and projecting two 49er receivers to have good seasons seems a bit crazy, but Smith is the upside play for their receivers.

- Chet Gresham, WalterFootball

The 49ers pass game should change a bit in 2015 and Smith will draw many deep targets as Anquan Boldin is no longer the deep threat he used to be. He will not be the most consistent WR but will have some big games next year.
