Shook off rough start vs. JAC in W1 to clock top 5 fantasy QB line - Fast-paced offense should keep him in QB1 mix
Top fantasy QB in W1 (448/3); I like his chances of reaching 5K pass yards after falling a little short past 2 years

Sablich Brothers

Inhuman TD:INT rate impossible to repeat, shaky receiving corps with Maclin as the WR1.
2014 draft positives include 1st rounder T Matthews and the pass-friendly Freeman.

Tozzi Brothers
Legion Report
He’s got too good of weapons, too good of an Offensive Line and too good of a coach to have a sophomore slump. Philly went out and acquired Sproles and Matthews with the departure of DeSean Jackson. Jeremy Maclin has participated in every minicamp and OTA and looks to be fully healed from his ACL injury – if he remains healthy for 16 games, he’ll be a Top 25 WR. Riley Cooper found a way to get 835 Receiving Yards last year with the help of DeSeasn Jackson drawing extra coverage. Jordan Matthews, who’s been nothing less than stellar so far, will take over the WR2 sooner rather than later. Foles averaged 11.7 passes per TD (Peyton averaged 11.9 passes per TD) last season while throwing the ball a NFL 27th ranked 315 times for 27 TDs and 2 INTs.
Expect a major bounce back year out of Matty-Ice. A porous defense will put Atlanta in the position for many many shootouts this year. With TE Tony Gonzalez gone the Falcons weren’t interested in refilling his position. Instead, they added another WR, Harry Douglas, which gives Ryan three great WR options. Julio Jones has already been spotted running, cutting, juking – we don’t see his left foot being any concern this season. A healthy WR Corps, a 31 year old RB Steven Jackson, a bad Defense and a pass happy OC Dirk Koetter is more than enough to expect Atlanta to lead the league in pass attempts this season.

For all the same reasons as Romo. Will be a solid fantasy option this year.

He has the real potential to put up over 30 TDs in Kelly's offense. He nearly did 30 TDs and he did not play 3 games in 2013.
He is extremely consistent and safe. There is no doubt he will put up 4,000 yards and 30 TDs. It's too hard not to draft him at QB.

While I really don't see Foles putting in the type of Touchdown : Interception numbers that he did last year (an almost impossible feat), Chip Kelly has said that he wants to utilize the playbook much more than the Eagles did in 2013. Considering Foles late-season grasp of the offense in which he went for 8 multi-touchdown games in his last 9 while totaling 23 overall down that stretch, you have to love his potential. And the fact that their offense is more balanced and much improved over last season, Foles should be able to produce outstanding numbers. Last year he put up a positive 0.076 FFLockerRoom True Proficiency Game Average. http://fflockerroom.com/2014/07/25/2014-fantasy-football-draft-preparation-quarterback-proficiency/
In 2013 Matt Ryan was one of only 3 quarterbacks in fantasy football to have double-digit 20-point weeks along with having at least 7 300+ passing yard games. Considering that Roddy White, Julio Jones and Steven Jackson weren't much to rely on because of injuries and you have to walk away impressed with the quarterbacks campaign. He also had a positive 0.375 FFLockerRoom True Proficiency Game Average. http://fflockerroom.com/2014/07/25/2014-fantasy-football-draft-preparation-quarterback-proficiency/

Fantasy Team Advice

Since the Falcons switched to their uptempo, pass heavy attack we have been unable to figure out why Matt Ryan is consistently overlooked in fantasy formats. Sure, he might not put up the most touchdowns in the league, but with this poor defense he will be playing catch-up more often than not, meaning plenty of yards and fantasy production. If you want to wait on a QB, Ryan offers some of the best value around

Chet Gresham
The Fake Football
Foles is a tough call to make this season. His numbers last year were amazing, but his TD to turnover ratio will be impossible to repeat. DeSean Jackson is gone, but Jeremy Maclin is back and Zach Ertz should take a step forward. Add to that Kelly's offense and tactics to keep defenses off balance should keep Foles from regressing too badly.
Matt Ryan was without Julio Jones and a healthy Roddy White most of last season and it showed. He did throw the ball a ton, with the second most attempts by any QB last season, but ended up as the 14th best fantasy QB with no playmakers to do anything with all those passes. He finished as the 6th best fantasy QB in 2012 and there's no reason he can't match that finish with Jones and White healthy.

Pat Fitzmaurice
The Football Girl
Won't repeat freakish 2013 efficiency but can be near-elite even with regression.
Better health for Julio and Roddy will help, but Gonzo's retirement hurts.

Foles was a beast in Philly last year. His system and weapons are there, but was he a one year wonder?
Ryan had poor protection and his weapons were banged up. Expect a big rebound in 2014.

This is going to be a bit high for most, but the guy was on pace for roughly 40TDs, 3INTs, 4,000 yards and 200 rushing yards last year through 11 games. He is the real deal if you ask me, and he is the kind of player that wins a league if you land the pick. If he disappoints, well, he still likely earns his ADP (if healthy).

Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Foles was the 11th ranked fantasy quarterback, despite starting only 10 games, but I am curious if a sophomore slump is in store. I cannot see him throwing just two interceptions for a second consecutive year. The Eagles also have to figure out how to replace the production of departed WR DeSean Jackson. They added WR Jordan Matthews and WR Josh Huff in the draft, but they will need to be able to contribute right away. A weak receiving core could prevent Foles from being an elite fantasy option, although he should still be very good.
I think Ryan is one of the most overrated fantasy players in the NFL this year. First, WR Roddy White is starting to advance in age and TE Tony Gonzalez retired and no viable replacement brought into the fold. Also, the Falcons play the NFC West and AFC North this year, divisions loaded with tough defenses. I think Ryan is a middle of the road fantasy QB2, not an elite option.
