The Broncos have acquired Zach Wilson from the Jets in exchange for a late-round pick swap. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: The swap is a sixth round pick for a seventh round pick and the Jets will play around $5.5M of Wilson’s salary. The Broncos now head into the NFL Draft with Jarrett Stidham, Zach Wilson, and Ben DiNucci as the three quarterbacks currently on their roster. Based on the current quarterback group, Wilson could have a chance in camp to compete for the starting quarterback job.

Matt Ryan officially announced his retirement Monday. (Source: Falcons on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Ryan will retire as a member of the Falcons, the team in which he holds the record for passing yards, passing touchdowns, completions, passing rating, and wins. He retires with a 65.6% completion percentage, 62,792 passing yards, and 381 passing touchdowns in his 15 year career.

Rashee Rice is facing a multigame suspension over his recent arrest, according to Adam Schefter, who broke down NFL Draft-related news as well as things he has been hearing around the league. (Source: Adam Schefter)

Fantasy Impact: Rice facing a multigame suspension is not what fantasy managers want to hear, as the second-year receiver was poised to have a large role this season. He could drop a few slots in WR rankings as a result of this news.

Xavier Legette was on a call with USA TODAY's John Crumpler and told him that the Panthers had discussed taking him a pick 33 in this week's NFL Draft (Source: John Crumpler)

Fantasy Impact: Legette landing in Carolina would provide another boost for Bryce Young and the Panthers, who acquired Diontae Johnson from the Steelers earlier in the offseason. He would fit very nicely in a receiving room that is missing an X receiver-level talent, and would immediately slot in as a top target earner.

Dare Ogunbowale is signing a one-year deal with the Texans. The 29-year-old RB spent the past two seasons in Houston. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Ogunbowale figures to be the third or fourth RB on this depth chart. His impact will mostly be felt in the special teams game. He may sparingly be used as a pass-catching option on third down as well.

Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly working towards a new deal. (Source: John Shipley on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Jaguars GM Trent Baalke said he spoke with the reps for Lawrence on Wednesday. Lawrence is heading into the fourth year of his rookie deal. This will remain a situation to monitor throughout the remainder of the offseason.

The New England Patriots are reportedly open to trading down but they ate comfortable with the No. 3 pick. (Source: ESPN.com)

Fantasy Impact: We are now less than one week away from the NFL Draft. The latest on the Patriots is that they're open to trading down, but they also like the quarterbacks they could select with the No. 3 pick. It is currently a toss-up based on the betting odds as to who the Commanders select No. 2 overall between Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels with Maye recently picking up more steam. It is possible who Washington selects will impact what the Patriots decide to do as they are on the clock.

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke said that the team will "need to calculate if there's someone we covet and need to make a run to get to 12, 13." (Source: John Shipley on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: While every team does preliminary work on their options for trading up and trading down, the latter of which Baalke has done in the past, he specifically brought up the 12-14 range in the NFL Draft multiple times in his press conference. That could be an indication of their willingness to move assets for the right player or a talent cutoff on their board. It's unlikely they make a pre-draft trade, but the Jaguars could prepare to move up if the right player is available.

Washington Commanders general manager Adam Peters said the team feels "great about staying at No. 2" and that they "don't see a whole lot of scenarios [where they trade] down." (Source: John Keim on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The Commanders pick second overall in the 2024 NFL Draft and are in a prime position to get almost any player they want — outside of whoever gets selected No. 1. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter said he believes LSU QB Jayden Daniels will be the pick for Washington, and unless they get a massive trade offer, they'll likely stand pat and get the first- or second-best QB on their board.

Miami Dolphins edge rusher Jaelan Phillips is expected to get his fifth-year option picked up ahead of the deadline, per the team's general manager Chris Grier. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Phillips' season ended prematurely in 2023 due to an Achilles injury. Fortunately for the Dolphins, and unfortunately for Phillips, that will help make his fifth-year option more affordable, making this move a no-brainer for Miami's FO. Phillips has 22 sacks and 52 QB hits in three seasons and 146 tackles, 24 for a loss. Miami is betting on his ability to return from his late-season injury.

Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle is expected to have his fifth-year option picked up by the front office, says team general manager Chris Grier. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Waddle has been an excellent pick for the Dolphins since being taken sixth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. With three straight 1,000-yard, four-TD seasons to start his career (3,385 yards and 18 TDs), Waddle has been an efficiency monster while serving as the team's WR2 alongside Tyreek Hill. He has averaged 13.5 yards per catch and will likely be a big part of Miami's future with Hill hinting at a possible early retirement in a few years.

Darius Slayton has not reported to the New York Giants' voluntary workouts this week as he seeks a contract extension. He signed a two-year, 12.2 million dollar extension with the team prior to last season. (Source: ESPN)

Fantasy Impact: Slayton has been the Giants' leading receiver in four of the past five seasons. He's been a consistent performer for this team despite being part of many inconsistent offences. With a very underwhelming WR depth chart as it currently stands, the Giants can ill-afford to lose Slayton. They'll be inclined to get this move done sooner rather than later.

Rashaad Penny was in Seattle yesterday for a free agent visit. Penny was selected 27th overall by the Seahawks in the 2018 NFL Draft. (Source: Ari Meirov on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Penny is coming off a wildly disappointing season in Philadelphia where he totalled 11 carries for 33 yards across 3 games played. At this point in his career, it's hard to envision him getting consistent usage in any offence. His arrival will not impact the likes of Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet.

J.K. Dobbins is expected to sign with the Los Angeles Chargers. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Dobbins suffered a torn Achilles at the start of the 2023 season that left him with a limited market in free agency, but now he is expected to sign with the Chargers. He will reunite with his former offensive coordinator Greg Roman, who helped him find stretches of success in Baltimore. His fantasy value will largely hinge on how well his recovery goes this offseason, but the starting spot is ripe for the taking with Gus Edwards being the only other notably RB on the roster currently.

Gavin Hardison went on a pre-draft visit with the Green Bay Packers. (Source: Tom Pelissero)

Fantasy Impact: Although Hardison's six-year college career ended with elbow surgery late last season, the former UTEP QB is on a pre-draft visit with the Packers. He could be an intriguing pick for a team looking for a developmental option late on Day 3 of the draft.

Jordan Travis Back on Field

Wed, Apr 17th 3:47pm EDT
By swagman95

Jordan Travis is back on the field finally and is visiting the Jets this week and then heading back to Jacksonville. (Source: Tom Pelissero)

Fantasy Impact: Travis fractured and dislocated his left ankle last November, but is back on the field practicing and ready for the draft. The former FSU product is viewed as a Day 3 option at this point in the process.

The Cowboys have signed Royce Freeman to a one-year contract. (Source: Todd Archer on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Freeman will join a Cowboys’ backfield that does not have a clear cut starter. The veteran tallied 319 yards and two touchdowns on 77 carries with the Rams last season. Fantasy managers should expect Freeman to compete for the starting job in training camp.

Courtland Sutton did not report to the Denver Broncos' voluntary workouts on Monday. The veteran WR is seeking a new contract as he only has two million dollars guaranteed left on his deal. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Sutton's situation will be one to monitor over the off-season. From a fantasy perspective, his 10 touchdowns in 2023 provided great value for managers. If Sutton were to miss time as a result of this contract dispute, the likes of Marvin Mims Jr. and Greg Dulcich would see an uptick in targets.

Justin Jefferson is not present for the Vikings’ voluntary offseason workouts. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Jefferson continues to await a contract extension from the Vikings. With the workouts being voluntary, he will not be fined. Fantasy managers will want to keep tabs on Jefferson’s status as we get close to training camp.

CeeDee Lamb is not expected to attend the start of the team’s voluntary off-season program. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Lamb is waiting on a new contract that will replace his fifth-year option that he is set to play on this season. With Eagles’ WR Devonta Smith getting a new deal Monday, Lamb is likely to push even harder for a new deal before the start of the 2024 season.
