DeMarco Murray: A new contract with the Dallas Cowboys is "not something that I'm concerned with"

DeMarco Murray is in the final year of his rookie contract and has alluded to reporters that inking a new deal this season is not a concern for him. He could be playing coy with everyone or he may be confident that he is going to have another big year earning himself a big payday. (Sports Day DFW)

Fantasy Impact:

This could be great news for Murray's fantasy season as the contract year phenomenon could materialize in the Big D. While there is no hard evidence to prove this theory, the facts are: Murray is coming off his best year in the NFL statistically and he played 14 games. He is the undisputed no. 1 back who can play all three downs, and will be in a revamped offense under new OC Scott Linehan who came from Detroit (Bush and Bell combined for 2700 total yards, 15 TDs and 107 receptions.) Murray will also be behind the best O-line Dallas has seen in several years, further setting the stage for a monster fantasy season. He will have top end RB1 value in PPR formats and mid to low end in standard formats.
