Chris Ivory took part in limited practice Thursday, training with hamstring injury

by Tom Woods | Thu, Jul 24th 5:09pm EDT

The New York Jets opened up their training camp on Thursday, with running back Chris Ivory participating in limited activity. It was reported that Ivory 'tweaked his hamstring' while working out on his own, which happened at some point between last month's minicamp and training camp. (The Star-Ledger)

Fantasy Impact:

Ivory should be fine after sustaining the injury to his hamstring, however it may be worth watching his health closely throughout the season. Ivory has a tough, physical running style, so it isn't hard to imagine that he may pick up an injury or two in 2014. However, health isn't the biggest threat to Ivory's fantasy production. Even though it is unclear at the moment, Chris Ivory may see less of the ball this season because of the acquisition of fellow running back Chris Johnson, who has been slated to take the role of lead back for the Jets heading into September. At the moment, it would be hard to see the former Saints rusher as anything more than an RB4.
