“Zero percent chance” Marshawn Lynch returns without new deal

by Brian Tesch | Fri, Jul 25th 12:08pm EDT

Mike Florio of profootballtalk.com reports that there’s a “zero percent chance” Marshawn Lynch will show up for the start of training camp without a contract that replaces the final two seasons of his four-year, $30 million contract. (ProFootballTalk.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Florio also states talks between Lynch and the Seahawks have been "occurring on and off for months". Lynch was just named the #1 bust candidate by rotoworld.com writer Ethan Silva, and there is massive risk in drafting Lynch at his current late 1st round ADP. Lets not forget that Lynch's skill as a power runner is unique, and he's a rare true three-down back with a potential massive workload awaiting should he report. If you can tolerate the risk of a possible lengthy holdout and believe in Lynch's skill-set; he's going to be a bargain in the 2nd/3rd round. But if you think that Lynch is going to get passed by uber-athlete Christine Michael, or experience a decline like that of Chris Johnson or Maurice Jones-Drew upon returning (if he even returns at all), avoid him at all costs.
