Jordy Nelson a 'longshot' for NFC Championship Game

by Anthony Cervino | Tue, Jan 17th 1:51pm EST

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson (ribs) is a "longshot" to play in the NFC Championship Game Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

ESPN's Rob Demovsky said Nelson "has a chance to play against the Atlanta Falcons, but it's only a small chance." The ailing wideout is nursing a pair of fractured ribs suffered in the team's Wild Card win over the Giants. Aside from rehab work, Nelson hasn't practiced since sustaining the injury and will attempt to give it a go Wednesday. Still, barring an unforeseen turnaround in his recovery, Nelson will likely be sidelined for Sunday's win or go home matchup against the Falcons.
