Lynch's holdout reaches tipping point

by Brian Tesch | Tue, Jul 29th 11:41am EDT

John Clayton reports that if Marshawn Lynch does not report today (7/29), the Seahawks could ask him to repay $900,000 of his six million dollar signing bonus. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Lynch's holdout has been costing him $30,000 a day in fines, and if he does not report today, those fines double to $60,000. If the holdout lasts past August 5th, Lynch could lose a year of free agency, and if he misses a pre-season game, he could lose a regular season game check. While these fines are applied at the discretion of the team, Lynch stands to lose a hefty chunk of change if the holdout continues. If Lynch does not report today, it could be a sign that he is holding out for the long haul.
