Shorts' injury opens door for Jaguars' rookie receivers
by Randy Stefanick | Tue, Jul 29th 12:36pm EDT
Cecil Shorts -- the only proven receiver on the roster -- is going to be out for at least two weeks with a grade two right hamstring strain. It’s the latest in a string of injuries that have cost the fourth-year player 11 games in his first three seasons. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Second-round picks Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson are already working with the first unit at training camp and both have a great opportunity to start on opening day. With Shorts' injury history, either Lee or Robinson could quickly become Bortles go-to receiver.
