Crabtree looks full strength at Niners training camp

by Andrew Cantor-Wagner | Thu, Jul 31st 12:59am EDT

Reports out of 49ers camp say WR Michael Crabtree has his natural burst back and is showing no signs of wear or injury. He is exploding on plays and participating at full force in practice. Crabtree underwent surgery for a torn Achillies in May of 2013 and did not return to the field until December. The Niners had used Crabtree sparingly in offseason workouts, but seem to have no major concerns about his health at this time. (49ers.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Despite missing the entire offseason and a majority of the regular season, Crabtree returned in December to put up respectable fantasy numbers through the last few games of last season (284 yards and 1 TD through 5 games), as well as some flashes of brilliance in the postseason . If he continues to remain healthy through 2014, we expect numbers similar or better than his 2012 season (85/1,105/9), making him a mid WR2 value with high upside.
