DeAndre Hopkins

All signs pointing to a breakout year for Hopkins

by Christopher Pryor | Titans Correspondent | Sun, Aug 3rd 6:38pm EDT

DeAndre Hopkins has been the early offensive standout in training camp, as he continues to string together strong performances and impressive catches. With veteran Andre Johnson on the sideline nursing a hamstring strain, Hopkins is developing quite the rapport with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. (Houston Chronicle)

Fantasy Impact:

With each passing day of training camp, Hopkins is looking more and more like a candidate for a breakout season. In just his second year, he is flashing excellent route running ability, combined with the incredible hands that made him the 27th pick of the draft last year. Given that opposing secondaries must still focus on Andre Johnson, Hopkins should be able to carve out a substantial role in the offense, particularly in the redzone. Look for him to improve on his stats from last year (802/2) with solid WR2 value.
