Jackson performed well against Pats in Tuesday practice

by Jonathan Ebanks | Tue, Aug 5th 9:32pm EDT

WR DeSean Jackson made Patriots CB Brandon Browner look bad in Tuesday's practice. On one play, Jackson went to the inside, then back outside towards the corner of the endzone and Browner had no chance to catch up to him. This joint practice has helped ESPN reporter John Keim notice that Jackson will normally take the safety and corner across the middle with him when facing man coverage, thus clearing the area Jackson just left. Fantasy Impact:

DeSean Jackson has really developed as a route runner. If he can fool elite CBs like Browner, then he could easily have his way with lesser corners. This is just another reason to feel optimistic about him. The attention he brings can really free up things for slot receiver Andre Roberts across the middle too. Jackson has the looks of a WR1 and look for him to come off the board in Rounds 5 or 6 in standard leagues.
