Jennings continues to develop chemistry with Cassel

by Kevin C. Wilson | Thu, Aug 14th 1:33am EDT

Veteran wide receiver Greg Jennings made the play of the day during Vikings' practice on Wednesday when he hauled in a deep throw down the sideline from Matt Cassel. The duo connected on both targets Wednesday and also hooked up for a 13-yard completion in their only drive together during last Friday's preseason opener against the Raiders. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Jennings and Cassel hit it off in their first season together as the former Pro Bowler piled up 41 catches, 491 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns in the seven games that Cassel started in 2013. If you average that out over 16 games it comes to 94 catches, 1,122 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. While those numbers seem fairly unrealistic, Jennings could certainly out produce his current ADP as the 55th WR off the board if his connection with Cassel continues to develop.
