Charles Clay’s fantasy value takes a hit due to knee issues

As noted earlier: Palm Beach Post… (Charles) Clay has been out two weeks with a knee injury after reportedly re-tweaking it following a recent scope. Coach Joe Philbin today (8/14) said he didn’t know if Clay would be ready for the start of the regular season. “He’s day-to-day,†Philbin said. “We’ll see how it goes.â€â€ (Palm Beach Post )
Fantasy Impact:
“Big Play Clay†is looking to build on last season’s 69/759/6 bottom line and this “re-tweaking†setback is somewhat worrisome. When deciding who I am going to draft as my starting TE, I can comfortably pass on Clay at this point. He still holds value for all the reasons we love him, but only at the right price. While I am confident he will return at some point, I would wait to draft my backup TE till late in the game.
