Turner: "We need to get Cordarrelle the ball"

The second-year speedster has caught five of his six targets for 47 yards through two preseason games. His longest reception was 17 yards. Despite the quiet numbers in limited playing time, the Vikings' offensive coordinator sounds confident in Patterson's ability to progress this season. "We need to get Cordarrelle (Patterson) the ball and we need to find different ways of doing it," Turner said. "Whether it’s with handing it to him or throwing it to him, moving him around a little bit, we are limiting what we do in the preseason. He needs to be a big part of what we do when we get going." Fantasy Impact:

Right now Patterson is ranked as the No. 20 receiver and the No. 49 player overall on FantasyPros. He is slightly ahead of veteran receivers Torrey Smith, Wes Welker and DeSean Jackson. Turner thinks he is getting more consistent. If he can be more consistent each week, he could be a fantasy steal at his average draft spot (Round 4-5) in 12-team leagues.
