The Jets defense rave about Chris Johnson

Members of the New York Jets defense have sung the praises of running back Chris Johnson. David Harris commented on his new teammate, saying: "Oh yeah, he still has it. We noticed it the first day we were in Cortland. He's still the fastest guy on the field. He's still got a lot of juice in those legs." Johnson is expected to play in Friday's game against the Giants, after having a couple of rest days this week. (New York Post)

Fantasy Impact:

Chris Johnson is somewhat of an unknown quantity in fantasy football this season. Last year he was a top-ten back, but has since had surgery to repair his torn meniscus, and has joined the Jets, who also have Chris Ivory. Health and play wise - Johnson still seems to have it. But the main concern here is how much of the ball he'll see. If he manages to establish himself at the top of the pecking order in New York, then at least 1,000 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns is attainable. But a time-share with Ivory could see Johnson dip below four-figure yards for the first time in his professional career. In redrafts, Johnson is worth the risk is the middle rounds. Just be careful not to draft him too early.
