Mike Gillislee receives offer sheet from Patriots

by Anthony Cervino | Tue, Apr 18th 1:41pm EDT

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting the New England Patriots have extended a two-year, $6.4 million RFA offer sheet to free agent running back Mike Gillislee on Tuesday. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Gillislee, who received an original round tender from the Bills in March which he has yet to sign, received an offer sheet from the Patriots Tuesday after visiting with the club last week. If Gillislee signs with New England, they will forfeit a fifth-round pick to the Bills in the upcoming NFL Draft. Gillislee's potential acquisition would likely take the Patriots out of the running back market leaving LeGarrette Blount on the outside looking in and in search of a new team for the 2017 season.
