Alshon Jeffery

Solid game for Jeffery versus Seahawks

by Dale Redman | Sat, Aug 23rd 12:36am EDT

Pulling in 4 catches for 45 yards on 8 targets, Jefferey had a pretty good game against arguably the top defense in the NFL. Jeffery also looked to have pulled in a 40+ yard catch early in the first quarter, but had it broken up at the last second by CB Byron Maxwell.

Fantasy Impact:

As Chicago's starters only played in the first half, Alshon put up decent numbers against a tough secondary. Also, it was encouraging to see Jeffery with the edge in targets over Brandon Marshall in this game (8 to 7). Currently Alshon is the 9th WR off the board and 25th player overall. Expect the third year WR to easily secure himself as a WR1 in fantasy with top 12 receiving numbers.
