Rivers ready for the regular season

Philip Rivers had a solid performance Sunday afternoon against the San Francisco 49ers completing 9 of 10 passes for 85 yards and 1 touchdown. The touchdown pass was to TE Antonio Gates. Typically the third preseason game is the contest in which starters play the most in order to get ready for the regular season opener.
Fantasy Impact:
Rivers looked really good spreading the ball around while making his progressions. It appears he is ready to take the offense to a similar level as he did last year. Currently Rivers is ranked in the middle of the starting QBs and could be a nice pick up at the end of your draft to supplement the position.
