Quarless no longer the starter?

by Dakota Mitchell | Fri, Aug 29th 3:48pm EDT

The fact that the veteran Quarless was still playing in the second half of the preseason finale could mean that he has fallen out of favor with the Packers. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

This coupled with the fact that he had more snaps than rookie Richard Rodgers in the preseason finale should be cause for concern. The 4th preseason game usually sees the bubble players getting the most work. This is not to say Quarless is on the bubble, but as for the starting gig? Maybe so. Assuming your draft comes before the season opener (yes, some people draft after week 1), Quarless should be overlooked in favor of Rodgers. With Brandon Bostick still out, Rodgers seems to be in line to get the most touches at TE, not Quarless. The TE situation in GB may remain in flux weeks into the season however, considering the competition at the position.
