Hopkins exciting fantasy owners with impressive debut

by Aaron Hemenway | Titans Correspondent | Sun, Sep 7th 8:33pm EDT

In his fantasy debut, Texans No.2 receiver DeAndre Hopkins caught a 76-yard TD pass late in the second quarter, the longest of his career. After that he was rather quiet, but finished the night with four receptions on five targets for 89 yards and a touchdown. (HoustonTexans.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Those of you who awarded Hopkins with a spot in your starting lineup - kudos. His 4/89/1 line is a great start to the season as he put up more fantasy points than veteran receiver Andre Johnson. That's not to say Hopkins is showing signs of a breakout year. Johnson isn't going anywhere, and his nine targets compared to five for Hopkins is proof of that. For now, Hopkins should be considered a good flex option with WR2 upside.
