Sophomore sensation Cordarrelle Patterson showed off his running skills on Sunday as he piled up 102 rushing yards with a 67-yard touchdown scamper during the Minnesota Vikings' 34-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams. Patterson also had carries of 23 and 12 yards and continued to prove that he is just as dangerous taking a hand-off as he is split-out wide. He also added three catches for 26 yards and had a total of 128 yards from scrimmage.

Fantasy Impact:

The hype was overwhelming for Cordarrelle Patterson coming into the season and even though he was fairly quiet through the air in his first game of the year, he definitely got it done on the ground. Patterson turned a basic pitch-out into a scintillating 67-yard touchdown run by breaking multiple tackles and showing off his unreal athleticism. Patterson has now scored a rushing touchdown in three straight regular season games and four of his last six. If he keeps producing on the ground as well as through the air Patterson belongs in your line-up every week regardless of the format.
