Cutler piles up the yards and the INTs

by Dale Redman | Sun, Sep 7th 9:30pm EDT

In a disappointing overtime loss to Buffalo, Jay Cutler threw for 349 yards with 2 TDs and 2 INTs. The QB was also sacked 2 times in a very uneven performance.

Fantasy Impact:

Cutler showed why many weren't falling for the breakout season hype. While he did look impressive while throwing for big yardage numbers, Cutler had the typical head scratching turnovers. Admittedly his first interception appeared to be the fault of TE Martellus Bennett running the wrong route and he was without the services of Alshon Jeffery the entire second half. But his second pick was on a questionable throw directly to a defensive lineman. Things don't look up for Cutler in Week 2 either. As Chicago faces a San Francisco defense who embarrassed Tony Romo and the Cowboys this week.
