by Kevin C. Wilson | Mon, Sep 8th 1:35am EDT

After sitting out the entire preseason, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson carried the ball 21 times for 75 yards in their season-opening victory over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. He also added two catches for 18 yards on three targets.

Fantasy Impact:

While it wasn't an extremely productive fantasy day according to Adrian Peterson standards, he did end up with a pretty solid outing in his first live action of the season. Peterson racked up a total of 93 yards from scrimmage and was utilized in the passing game and on runs to the perimeter. Although he was unable to get into the end zone, Peterson was definitely the focal point of the Vikings' offense in Week 1 and will continue to be a must-start in all fantasy leagues.
