Reed expected to miss significant time

by Jonathan Ebanks | Mon, Sep 8th 11:04pm EDT

Washington tight end Jordan Reed had an MRI done on his "mild" hamstring strain, but the team is preparing to be without him for "significant time". Head coach Jay Gruden commented on how long Reed could be out for, "We'll see how it goes with the trainer. It'll probably be a week, or two, or three. We'll see." (Washington Post)

Fantasy Impact:

Who knows how long Reed will be out for? However, almost all can agree that Reed is almost a lock to miss Week Two. TE Niles Paul was the main beneficiary of Reed's absence on Sunday and that should remain going into Week Two. Either way, don't look at Paul as anything more than a desperation TE2 against the Jags.
