Patterson's six-game TD streak comes to an end in loss to Patriots

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was held in check by the New England Patriots on Sunday as he was limited to four catches for 56 yards. The talented playmaker didn't record a single carry and saw his string of consecutive games with a touchdown end at six.

Fantasy Impact:

With Adrian Peterson deactivated for Sunday's game, it was expected that the Vikings would look to get Patterson even more involved in the offense. Instead the sophomore sensation saw the same number of targets (7) as Matt Asiata and one less than Kyle Rudolph. Inexplicably he also didn't receive a single carry in the entire game despite piling up 103 rushing yards on just three carries in Week 1. However fantasy owners shouldn't be too concerned as offensive coordinator Norv Turner will surely figure out a way to make sure to get the ball in Patterson's hands as much as possible going forward. Patterson remains a solid WR2 and belongs in your line-up each week.
